Who would have thought that the thick, beaded chokers of yore would be reborn as something simple and versatile? Maybe we wont be pairing our chokers with bold colored polyester mini dresses and full denim outfits, but they're back and ready to add a much needed pop to even the most casual ensembles.

I believe chokers have been trending so long that at this point they might as well be a closet staple. They come in all sizes and shapes and the variety is pretty much endless.

While I'm not usually one for fashion trends, for some reason, the choker trend appealed to me. They're flattering. I bought it last year, they're super affordable but also really comfortable which is key for me. I didn't realize how bare and empty my neck looked without a necklace hanging from it.

For a woman who isn't concerned with following trends, it is a refreshing alternative to diamonds and chains,

It's worth trying. Trust me!

Hey, there! How are you doing? Me? It's my day off. Yey! I was busy earlier editing my blog site, there's a lot to change plus I was looking after to my baby niece once in awhile. Lol. Anyway, let's talk about books. I'm one of those people that as soon as I hear a book is being made into a movie, I decided I should read it. I'm into a romance comedy that makes me "kilig" all over again, but sometimes I do read suspense depends on something that caught my interest. I have read these books for awhile and I like to share it with you. (It is a randomly picked since I have a lot of favorites)

1. P. S I love you- Cecelia Ahern

It made me cry a few times and also appreciate things in my life. The story is about holly dealing with the death of her husband, Gerry. She later discovers that Gerry left a series of letters for every month of the year. The story was heartwarming,

2.  High Noon- Nora Roberts

I read a lot of Nora Roberts novels, she's one of my favorite author. High Noon is not my absolute favorite Nora Novel, but it is among the ones I like best. Actually, the reason I started off with this one because my friend recommend it to me. It is a fast paced, satisfying read for anyone who's looking for an action-packed family drama with a suspense element.  After being held a hostage with her family by her mother's boyfriend Phoebe grows up to be a hostage negotiator. Someone begins stalking her and the people important to her life.

3 Cut and Run- Carla Neggers

It's a book you can't put down until the end. I randomly picked up this book and had a pleasant time reading it. The story follows a family of survivors from the Holocaust. This family is said to protect the legend of the Minstrel's Rough, said to be the largest uncut diamond ever known to man and it's had been passed on for 400 years in this family although most people thought it was a myth.

4. A walk to remember- Nicholas Sparks

I still read and love it as much as I remember. Yes. it's different than the movie, and I watched the movie first, many years ago but the book is great, and it's probably my favorite Nicholas Sparks novel. The story begins with Landon Carter reminiscing his senior year in Beaufort High. The year where Landon, a politician son fell for Jamie Sullivan, a pastor's daughter. Destiny brought these two different personalities together which changed their lives and the people around them forever.

5.  Me Before You- Jojo Moyes

I cried a lot. Good God, the emotions. If you can make it through this one without shedding a tear, hats off to you. I couldn't do it. I must tell you, the characters in this story are perfectly done. They're lovable, questionably insane- but all so wonderfully done that you never get bored. It is the story of a young girl who finds herself the caretaker of a quadriplegic man who is both charming and brash depending on the mood. And yet, there's something about him that she finds herself drawn to. In order to help make his like better, she plans out a fantastic series of events in order to make him happy.

As you've noticed, I didn't update my blog after I got back from a two days vacation due to my crazy work schedule. One of our reliever accounting officer filed a maternity leave so it give us more time to work and to do, not that I complain lol I was just explaining my reason why I'm gone on blog for so many days (though sometimes, it takes years lol but that was before). So, what will I get if I work too much? well, you get high salary of course but other than that, the stress, lack of sleep (due to night shift schedule) pressure, you don't want to eat till your work is done (am I too overreacting? lol) Anyway, I really minimize that to happen, after my eight hour shift was done, I go home, eat and sleep as I can, I even take a vitamins which I haven't done for a long time because of this schedule. The management put some hiring announcement one month ago but I don't know, no one could pass the exam thing, or maybe they'll just waiting for J to come back lol it's really fine, really. I like that girl to work with.

What motivates me to work? My family and for myself.

Hard work is about to risk. It begins when you deal with the things that you'd rather not deal with, fear of failure, fear of standing out, fear of rejection. Hard work is about training yourself to leap over this barrier, tunnel under that barrier, drive through the other barrier. And, after you've done that, do it again the next day.

I work 7 days a week. Yeah a little bit pressure but we do have a day off but that day off we already work that to happen. It's like from 6am-2pm then you will be going back to 10pm-6am so you will get a day off after. When I'm home all I have to do is sleep and when I'm up, chatting to my boyfriend or sometimes close friends through my phone while laying lol (feeling lazy all the time wth! lol) too lazy to open my laptop too. Play with my baby niece (soon I will write about her here).

Today is Labor Day, so shout out to everyone working a bit this Labor Day like me 😁 (night shift eh)

Lastly, I love my job, I've been in my company for almost six years already, I will not lasts if I don't love my job, 😉

These past few weeks I've been feeling tired of my work I mean not physically tired but maybe I want some new surroundings. I always plan for getting away, like get some vacation leave but I was hesitated since I couldn't be gone for a long vacation. I was working when my friend texted me about exploring, I was tempted but answered her I can't go to any places that are so far away  due to my work schedule. And asked her instead why don't we go to the beaches near the city for at least one night and one day, and she grabbed that idea. So that night we started to looked some of the places that we haven't gone so far, though mostly we already visited the beaches in Initao, we choose this Blusand Resort. Its 34.7 kilometer away from Iligan city and the resort had a good ambiance and it was minimal. Btw, the phone signal are slightly slow in here and the resort doesn't have a wifi.

View from our room. Sadly, the room that has a view in front of the pool and the sea are already occupied when we were arrived.

View from the veranda. We still need to go out in our occupied room to get in the veranda (i just names it veranda hehe) so we could at least see the part of the resort.

Their dining area.. the ambiance is too relaxing. It looks like we were in Balesin because of their structure and style of their resort.

I read some of the reviews about the resort and it was said how awful the service is, the order took almost an hour before it serve. But based of my experience, it is not. The crew were so accommodating, and the food were served not less than 15 minutes. And the price? Well it is pretty much the same when you eat in the city restaurant.
After taking our lunch. We get back to our room and arranging our clothes and etc. And decided after to take a walked along side of the beach..

We find it so relaxing just walking and talking about a lot of stuff. And headed back again to our room because I felt sleepy, haven't slept that time because I had my night shift schedule before this happened. So I slept and Ming just watched TV, and woke up by 8pm and again Ming is still watching. Hahahaha. Okay, we get ourselves ready for a night swimming in the pool. Yey! And gals, we didn't really expect the pool, I meant the water temperature. Hahaha. We thought it was cold so we decided to get two cans of light flavored beer drink, so we think that we are ready and get ourselves into the pool and voila!!! The water was warm!! It makes you stay longer. Yes I know, i was overreacting. Hehe. We used to swim in a cold pool or expecting one, I guess that's the reason. Ming swim like there is no tomorrow while me staying beside the pool (I don't know how to swim though I love beaches) isn't ironic? I think we stayed at least 3 hours before we headed back to our room.

After taking a shower, both of us are laying comfortable in the bed while watching a show about travel. We are not sleepy. Lol! I'm busy with my phone and she's busy with a show until we watched this "Gandang Gabi vice". I wont share what happened to us while watching that show, it was hell like crazy and super funny. Hahaha. Not for a long time we had just fell asleep. Our plan is to get up 6am but only Ming makes that happened, she tried to woke me up but my body still wants to sleep. So, she's just go outside alone at least she had her moment. Hahaha. I woke up at 8am. Lol. And starving, and again gals, we didn't expect that their breakfast is free. Lol. We came to the dining area and ordered something to eat, we still didn't know about the free meal. So when we bill out, the crew had just said it was a complimentary meal, I only pay 15php since I ordered banana. Haha. Okay, again we strolled out around the resort and the beach was so tempted and I wear a decent clothes. Grr. I went back to our room to change my outfit. After two hours we prepared our things and checked out at 12pm.

(P. S: I know my English wasn't good enough. Hehe! )

I'm terribly missing my hair now! I know it sounds so corny since I did my own decision to cut it but it wasn't my fault that my hairstylist didn't listen to me on how  or what style that I'd like. I told him I want a shoulder length hair since my hair its in my waistline (long hair and it gets me a headache maybe because I have a thick hair and a slim body, if you know what I mean. ) but he cut it too short. Oh okay, he didn't bother to listen, "that's okay" I told to myself. But days gone by I've miss my long hair so much, its feel like I'm a brokenhearted girl and wish I had never make a decision to cut my hair. Whenever that happens there are few ways I can think about to keep me from feeling lost.
                                                                    (you wanted this!!!)
Yes, I wanted it. Sometimes we do to cut our hair to have a new look or maybe follow the trends or etc. Having a long hair is nice but there are few disadvantage of it, like carrying a baby. I have a baby niece and I'm so fond of her but she always reach it even if my hair is in a pigtail style..or  while eating it always gets on my food.
                                                                   (it will grow back)
At the end of the day, no matter how short my hair is right now, it will grow eventually. You just have to wait months or you could use a lengthening shampoo. So for now I'll just enjoy my short hair and enjoy the low maintenance freedom that comes with it.
